Completed in 1864, the Old Beechworth Gaol is one of Australia’s best preserved gold-rush gaols and is included on Australia's National Heritage. The Old Gaol has seen it all. The rise of the goldfields, the Ned Kelly era, and generations of ratbags, rogues and unfortunates who passed through its gates.
